Single Country CGE Modelling: Online Course Start date: 4 Mar 2019 The target audiences for this course are potential model developers, model users, and commissioners of policy studies. The course uses a version of the STAGE model, but on completing the course graduates should be able to use various open source single country CGE models implemented in GAMS, The 4 modules cover theory, techniques, policy experiments and interpretation and conclude with a project. Each module requires the participants to submit an assignment; this allows the tutor to monitor progress and understanding. The course is designed to take participants up to 90 hours over 5 weeks. Support is offered over 6 weeks to allow for 1 week of ‘slippage’. A prerequisite for the course is completing the ‘Practical CGE Modelling course’, or equivalent (ask the contact for the course if you want to claim exemption). Course Fees Developed country: Professional - £1,000; Student - £700 Developing country: Professional - £825; Student - £550; Scholarship - £150 (limited numbers) Reductions in the fees are offered to those taking more than one of the courses offered by CGEMOD.
